New Year’s Eve Supper 2017
For this special evening we have a set price menu –
A glass of Goughenheim Malbec Bubbles
Sparkling dry rose ,full of delicate red fruit aromas, from the Goughenheim estate,Mendoza, Argentina
served with nibbles of
Bella di Cerignola olives – Arancini – Gougere with herbs and cream cheese – Bowl of our bread
Terrine of Highland venison, wrapped in prosciutto;salad of roasted roasted quince and fig crema. Pistachio dukkah
Hot mousseline of chicken with mushroom duxelle topped with puff pastry; Madeira and morel sauce
Shetland scallops,seared; served on curried cauliflower puree; caper,golden sultana and pomegranate dressing; crispy red onion
Twice baked Ticklemore goats cheese souffle with salad of sticky beets and pear; walnut- beetroot vinaigrette
For main course
Local dry aged sirloin, cooked to your liking; grain mustard cream sauce with mushrooms. Celeriac puree. Roast potatoes with smoked bacon. Sweet heart cabbage.
Goosenargh duck breast with cranberry and Port compote. Boulangere potato; glazed multi coloured carrots with thyme; red wine shallot sauce
Baked fillet of Cornish cod and brill ; squid with Torreon chorizo; bacalao; tender stem broccoli; peperonata and rosemary breadcrumbs
Gnocchi Romagna with creamed wild and cultivated mushroom; caramelised roasted red onion; wilted kale with garlic
Bread and butter pudding with Seville marmalade glaze; vanilla custard
A bowl of refreshing sorbets – Bramley apple Raspberry Passionfruit and orange
Chocolate Marsala tart with muscatel raisins
Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream ice cream
Or, may be some cheese
Cornish Blue and Aged Cheddar served with fruit and biscuits
