Supper Evening No 9 Friday 29th April

‘Il de France’ 

This evening will be a night of classic

bistro cooking as always seen and found in Paris.

The evening will consist of a set menu

and will be a little shorter [ compared to

some of our previous supper events ! ]

and hopefully the care and quality of

ingredients will shine through,

The evening will commence at around 7-00pm

We’re anticipating an evening of relaxed informality

and jovial banter coupled with good food and wine.

Terrine de maison

A coarse pate of pork, duck and pistachio wrapped in bacon; prune ; celeriac remoularde


Salade au crottin de Chavignol

Salad with frizee and lambs lettuce; grilled ‘ crottin ‘ goats cheese; beetroot dressing with walnut oil

Potage aux primeurs

Spring vegetable soup with leek, broad beans, peas and asparagus; sorrel cream and croutons

Filet de barbue; Vinaigrette de homarde et tomates

Steamed brill fillet; lobster, tomato and basil dressing

Steak Bercy ; Pommes frites

Dry aged sirloin steak with a white wine, shallot and beef sauce

Creamed mushroom shortcrust tartlet; chips

Fromages au pain de Poilane et fruits

Two ‘perfect’ cheeses served with toasted bread from the famous Poilane bakery

Gateaux Paris-Brest

Individual choux pastry with coffee buttercream, praline and violets


Tarte au citron

Shortbread tart with a classic lemon filling


Savarin aux framboises

Individual yeast sponge cake, soaked in rum syrup; vanilla cream and raspberries
