A short set menu of seasonal delights and British classics

On arrival, start with a glass of mulled local cider - followed by

a selection of small sharing plates including

Christmas spiced beef with mini jacket; horseradish cream and watercress

Kipper pate Morecambe Bay shrimps Scottish Smoked salmon English salad with salad cream

Stilton and walnut soda bread

Followed by main course

Steak and kidney pudding- an individual slow cooked steamed suet pudding of Long Horn beef with roasted vegetables, mash and caramelised red onion; treacle, bacon and ale sauce

Chicken, leek and ham pie

Stewed carrots and peas; bowl of chips

Glamorgan sausages with Caephilly; Beetroot relish

Bowl of 'greens ' and roast parsnips

Puddings

Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and pouring cream or vanilla ice cream

Eccles cake with stem ginger ice cream

Marmalade queen of puddings; pouring cream or orange ice cream

Sherry Trifle
