Christmas Eve Menu Daytime Lunch Menu Tuesday 24^th December

Available from 1-00pm with last orders at 6-00pm

On arrival, Start with a welcome complimentary glass of Montes Aconcagua ' Sparkling Angel' served with nibbles

To start

Baked Colston Basset Stilton and leek souffle; pear, watercress and almond salad

West coast scallops with curried cauliflower puree; caper, golden raisin and pomegranate dressing

Aubergine three ways – tart with olive tapenade, baba ghanoush and marinated with balsamic,coriander & garlic vf

Cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup with chestnut-kale pesto ; crisp chicken skin

Salad of roasted venison haunch with quince, raspberry inegar and dark chocolate

For main course

Guineafowl

Baked ballotine of guinea fowl with a tasty filling of herbs and a little chicken liver topped with Serrano ham. Morel mushroom and Madeira cream sauce ;little roasted potatoes with thyme & garlic; purple sprouting brocolli

Great Berwick organic Long Horn beef

Local dry aged sirloin ,cooked to your liking ; whole onion filled with braised beef shin

Glazed carrots with thyme; mash

Steamed lemon sole in a crab , ginger and lemon paupiette

Chive beurre blanc; little potatoes cooked in turmeric stock; samphire

Mushroom Wellington

with maple syrup roasted parsnips and carrots;broccoli; red wine gravy vf
